All LaserLipo & Body Sculpting treatments administered at Rejuve are performed solely by our team of board certified surgeons. First, the area to be treated is filled with Tumescent, a liquid agent which numbs the treatment site and shrinks the blood vessels. This solution temporarily expands the volume of the area, making the fat cells easier to target and remove. The surgeon then uses a series of small, thin probes to target the fat with ultrasound waves. The energy breaks apart the fat while keeping surrounding tissue intact, resulting in less bruising and pain than more traditional, invasive procedures. Specially designed thin suction tubes, called Cannulas, are used to remove the emulsified fat with precise suction pressure control while preserving the tissue matrix and fat cell viability for fat grafting. A bandage is applied to the small incision sites and the area treated is wrapped with a compression garment. The client is awake throughout the entire procedure.
Since this procedure is performed under local anesthesia, the client is able to walk out after the treatment and perform light activities. Most clients are able to return to work in one to two days depending on the area being treated.
