How Does CoolSculpting Work?
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
There is nothing more frustrating than putting in the work at the gym and the kitchen only to have your efforts do nothing about those last few pounds or stubborn fat pockets. You’re doing everything right, but you still have trouble fitting in some of your clothes or are self-conscious about your flanks, thighs, or stomach. Rejuve Med-Spa has good news: CoolSculpting can freeze away your fat to give you the body you’ve always wanted.
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
During adolescence, our bodies stop producing new fat cells, so once we reach adulthood, weight gain is only shown in the increase in size of existing fat cells. That’s part of what makes CoolSculpting so amazing. You can get rid of fat cells in as little as one treatment session, and when they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
Fat freezes at a higher temperature than surrounding tissues, between 39º and 41º, while other tissues require a much lower temperature. The CoolSculpting handpiece delivers precisely controlled cooling to crystalize fat cells without damaging your skin or other tissues, resulting in fat cell death. Your body then absorbs the dead fat cells, clearing them out through your lymphatic system. It’s really that simple. By maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle and nutrient rich diet, you can have the body you’ve always wanted for years to come.
CoolSculpting is ideal for treating these areas:
- Abdomen and flanks
- Double chin and neck
- Inner and outer thighs
- Back
- Below the buttocks
- Upper arms
- Bra line
Am I a Good Candidate?
As CoolSculpting is not a treatment for weight loss or obesity, ideal candidates are those within 30 pounds of their healthiest weight who are unhappy with stubborn fat bulges. As an alternative to more invasive procedures, such as liposuction, CoolSculpting is a fast, effective, almost easy solution that Rejuve Med-Spa is happy to guide you through.
What Are CoolSculpting Treatments Like?
CoolSculpting treatments are surprisingly comfortable. The location of your treatment determines how long your appointment will last, which averages between 35-60 minutes. The handpiece is affixed to your treatment area and the cooling begins. You’ll experience a few minutes of cold until the area becomes numb. The entire experience is relatively comfortable, with most patients reading, checking email, or simply relaxing. There may be some tenderness following treatment, but it’s resolved within hours or a couple of days.

How Quickly Will I See Results?
Your body needs time to filter out the fat cells, so immediate results are not possible. You’ll begin to see a better contour to your body around 3 weeks following your treatment, with up to a 25% reduction of fat cells. Existing fat cells fill in the void left by those filtered out, so your results are smooth. Many patients are happy after 1 treatment, but some may need 2-3 total. 4-6 months later, your silhouette is slimmer, your clothes fit better, and your confidence will soar.
The team at Rejuve Med-Spa is proud to treat every CoolSculpting patient with a 360º patient evaluation. It’s what we learned while training at CoolSculpting University, which only 30% of all cosmetic rejuvenation clinics in the US have attended. We’ve taken it a step further, also graduating from the CoolSculpting Masters Course, which only 2% of all clinics achieve. We know CoolSculpting from every angle, so we can help you achieve your ideal figure. All you have to lose is the fat.
