What is Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Skin rejuvenation techniques have experienced massive developments over the years. Now, the Rejuve Med-Spa experts can provide a variety of different rejuvenating facials to make your skin look younger and improve its tone and texture. Moving away from the more traditional approach, we’re excited to offer laser skin resurfacing with state-of-the-art laser technology.
Laser Skin Resurfacing Overview
Laser skin resurfacing uses different types of lasers at certain treatment depths to help resurface your skin. The laser technology will generate heat, which is absorbed by the skin cells and breaks them down. This gets rid of any dead skin on your face and reveals a brighter layer of new skin below it. It’s a non-invasive procedure that requires no surgery and gives your skin a fresh start!
Types of Laser Skin Resurfacing
At Rejuve Med-Spa, we offer two main types of laser skin resurfacing:
- Photo Facial Laser Treatments
- Pixel Skin Resurfacing
Both options work to provide similar results, but the differences lie in the procedure and lasers used.

Photo Facial Laser Skin Resurfacing
With Photo Facial Laser Treatments, our experienced team uses the Harmony XL laser to reverse visible signs of aging and improve your skin’s condition. This laser uses advanced fluorescence to apply low-energy pulses of broadband light to your skin. The aim is to target imperfections by aiming the layer at various pigmentation issues. As a result, the cells in the tissue that cause pigments will take in the light and break down the cells. These cells are then removed, reducing the appearance of things like rosacea, broken capillaries, age spots, etc. Your face looks more vibrant and has a more even tone.
Pixel Skin Resurfacing
In contrast, Pixel Skin Resurfacing uses the Pixel laser to handle things like acne scarring, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, and so on. It is a fractional laser that makes loads of tiny perforations to promote rapid healing of your skin. It does things by encouraging collagen production, making your skin appear brighter, firmer, and more youthful. In essence, it’s similar to microneedling, only lasers are used so the small perforations are easier to heal.
