What Can Juvederm® Fillers Treat?
While you may think of dermal fillers as an anti-aging treatment, they can do much more. The Juvederm® family of fillers is one of the most versatile and widely used injectable treatments in the world, addressing a range of concerns from lines and wrinkles to the desire for more facial definition. Whether alone or used with other treatments, they offer your expert injector the tools to smooth and rejuvenate your features.
What are Juvederm® Fillers?
Several materials are used for dermal fillers, but the most widely used is hyaluronic acid. Juvederm® fillers use this compound, which is found naturally in your skin and adds hydration and plumpness. Each formula has a different form of hyaluronic acid, making them more dense or more flexible. These fillers are injected into the targeted areas with almost immediate, natural-looking results.
What Can Juvederm® Fillers Treat?
Juvederm® fillers can be used almost anywhere on your face that can benefit from extra volume. However, their uses include:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Deep creases such as marionette lines or nasolabial folds
- Restoring or adding volume to areas such as the cheeks or jaw
- Correcting hollow areas
- Plumping and enhancing the lips
Ask your Rejuve Med Spa injector about your areas of concern and whether dermal fillers are the best option for you. Some lines and wrinkles are better treated with other injectables such as Botox®. These two treatments can be used together if needed for maximum results.
How Long Do Juvederm® Fillers Last?
How long your Juvederm® results last depends on several factors. Fillers used for active areas like the lips have a more flexible formula that tends to last about one year. Fillers for areas like the cheeks are the most resilient and can last up to two years. Individuals vary in how they respond to treatment.

Is There Any Downtime After Dermal Fillers?
When you leave your Juvederm® appointment, you may notice small areas of minor redness, swelling, or bruising. These can last up to a few days. There is no downtime required, and you can usually return to work or other activities immediately. The lack of downtime makes Juvederm® an ideal “lunchtime” procedure that fits your active schedule.
Am I a Good Candidate for Juvederm® Fillers?
Because hyaluronic acid occurs throughout your skin, the chances of reacting to a hyaluronic acid dermal filler like Juvederm® are extremely low. They are safe for use for almost all healthy adults. However, you should not have dermal filler injections if you have an active infection or skin condition in the treatment area. Good candidates want to replace or add volume and have reasonable expectations.
