Adults do not grow new fat cells, so your Kybella® results are long-lasting. The treated fat cells will not return. However, you still have fat cells in the area, and they can store more fat if your weight changes. We recommend a healthy lifestyle to maintain your results for the long term.
What is Recovery Like After Double Chin Reduction?
After treatment, you may experience redness, sensitivity, and swelling in the injection area. The redness will fade in a few days. Swelling can last up to a few weeks but will become less noticeable after the first few days. You can return to your usual activities after treatment.
Am I a Good Candidate for Double Chin Reduction with Kybella®?
Most healthy adults are good candidates for double chin treatment. Candidates should have reasonable expectations and goals. You may not be a good candidate if you have certain medical conditions, especially in the neck area. You should also not have Kybella® if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
